Sponge Rubber Foreign Body

Sponge Rubber Foreign Body

Description : The ear canal is narrow, convoluted, and generally protected from foreign bodies.

Nonetheless, a variety of extrinsic materials may become lodged in the ear either by accident, through neglect, or by deliberate insertion.

The signs and symptoms produced by foreign bodies depend on the size, location, and composition of the foreign body.

A large piece of sponge rubber has been tightly wedged into the deep canal.
